I am 15 years old, can I ride?

You can provided you are accompanied by a parent or guardian.


How do I register?

You can register on our website from the Registration tab.  Payment for the registration needs to be made online.


Can I join the bike ride on the day of the event?

No, you will have to pre-register before hand.


Is there a limit on raising money?

The minimum we ask you to raise is £1000.


How can I send in my donations?

You can use the donation tab on the website to make a donation via our Justgiving link or Paypal link. Please see the justgiving page for instructions on how to setup your own page.


I have friends who would like to become a sponsor, who do I contact and what is the cost?

Please call 07866 750229 for further information and booking, information is also available on our Sponsorship page.


Where is the overnight stay and is there showering facilities?

We will stay in a mix of hotels and Gurdwara’s, on days where we are staying over at Gurdwara’s it it essential to refrain from consuming alcohol or non-vegetarian food.


Is food and drink included?

Yes, vegetarian breakfast and lunch will be provided.  We kindly ask that you refrain from consuming any alcohol or non-vegetarian food if you are staying with us at the Gurdwara.  Water and nutrition bars will also be provided during the ride.


Can I make my own arrangements for the overnight stay?

Yes, you can make your own arrangements at a hotel at your own expense, provided you are back at the Gurdwara for 6am  on the following morning.  Breakfast will also be provided.


How safe is the ride?

We will have marshalls and first aiders accompany us during the ride.  The marshalls will be spread out across the ride to help anyone during the ride.  We aim to have breaks every 10-15 miles.


Do I need to wear any special clothing or is it casual?

You will need to check the kit list on our site for the upto date information on what is required.  However, tracksuits and baggy clothing is not permitted, all cyclists must wear safety helmets or Dastars.


What kind of bike do I need to do the ride?

You will need a road worthy bike which will be checked prior to the ride by our bike mechanic.  It is essential that the brakes and gears are in good working order.  If you are unsure, please contact us or speak to a bike specialist.


What happens after the completion of the ride on Sunday?

The ride concludes in Birmingham City Centre at a Sikh temple, this is the end of the ride and no further transport is provided from this location, please ensure you have made the relevant arrangements to be collected from this location (TBC).


How do I get my bike to Amsterdam?

We will announce a drop off location closer to the event, please drop off your bike, helmet and luggage to this location.  Labelts will be provided to please allow enough time to check in and obtain the correct labels from us.


What happens when we get to Amsterdam?

Depending on your flight departure point, the arrival times vary.  However, the vans transporting the bikes will be arriving at the hotels at approximately 7pm.  Please be available to collect your luggage from the vans.  The bikes will be stored in a store room overnight.
